Blog Topic #8-
What can you do NOW to make sure you do well on your finals this semester? What are you doing right now as far as time management and effective studying so that you don't have to cram and stress with the approach of each test or project? Layout your schedule for the next 3 weeks (until the 21st--last day of finals) including the specific blocks of time you plan to study for, and what your goals are (i.e. I will take this test on this day, I will get to bed by 10pm every night, etc.).

Preparing ahead of time is a big, BIG way to secure a good grade on finals. I always wait til last minute to study, but this semester i have been a lot better at not doing that. i've prepared flashcards for each of my test and have already been studying with them.
* i have scheduled my next couple weeks in both my planner and my on-wall calendar!!! i'm trying to get my papers and projects out of the way first, so i can focus more on the actual final exams. each day has a paper or project that needs to be finished along with a test that needs to be studied for. i color code my papers, tests, assignments, quizzes, exams, etc so that by glancing at my schedule i can tell how heavy that day is going to be and what needs to be done to prepare for it. my goal is to be in bed by 11:30 each day so i can survive the following day and the intensity that comes with it. i feel that this semester went pretty well for me and i'm not too nervous for the finals and papers that i have to do still. im prepared and taking it one day at a time!

  1. Becky. I've truly enjoyed watching you "take the bull by the horns" so to speak this semester. I can tell that you've started to incorporate many master student principles in your daily life. May you continue to progress and overcome life's many challenges. Carpe diem! Dr. Wong
